Ramesh Taurani's eagerly awaited sequel Race 2 directed by Abbas- Mustan is scheduled for release at the 25th January 2013.

After several deliberations, director duo Abbas -Mustan and producer Ramesh Taurani of Tips zeroed in at the release date of the film. Confirms Ramesh Taurani, "Race 2 releases January 25th next year. We felt it was just the precise date to release our film."

Having gone on floors earlier this year, the highly-anticipated action thriller from the home of Tips completed its second schedule in the course of the month of Jan-Feb with a tremendous star-cast including Anil Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, Jacqueline Fernandez and Ameesha Patel.

Says director Abbas, "Race 2 is within the same genre and can be made on as grand a scale because the original. We will be able to be shooting in Turkey and Cyprus next. The tale has quite a few twists and turns and each character could have grey shades,"

Adds Ramesh Taurani, "We shot for the second one schedule of the film from 23rd Jan to 24th Feb - It went off smoothly and the star-cast have been accommodating throughout. We're very excited and hope to make Race 2 bigger and higher than the unique".
