Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra is all over again within the news for bad reasons. The newest buzz is that Priyanka Chopra isn’t receiving 9 Crs for Zanjeer. In fact, Ram Charan who’s getting into Big B’s shoes, would bag Rs. 12 crs for his debut Bollywood film. Rumour had it that Priyanka Chopra became the utmost paid actress in Bollywood with a payday of Rs. 9 crs for Zanjeer remake. The payment was even said to be greater than that of her male co-actor Ram Charan Teja that may be reprising the part enacted by Amitabh Bachchan within the 1973 original.
But now, a media report claims that Priyanka Chopra isn’t receiving Rs. 9 crs but Rs. 5.5 crs for the film, and Ram Charan Teja is pocketing Rs. 12 crore, that's greater than the double of what PC’s receiving. In fact, the cost matter all but boiled into an ego tussle between the two groups – Priyanka’s and Teja’s – with either side trying to keep an upper hand. Reportedly, Priyanka’s PR machinery have been in overdrive to color her because the maximum paid, while Ram Charan Teja loyalists was dropping rain on her parade and declaring that the south actor is receiving paid much higher than Priyanka.
If even a grain of reality lies in these claims, then the parable of Priyanka Chopra’s massive price ticket stands busted for the moment.
