Recently, music composer Pritam landed in trouble at the side of the production house Illuminati Films post the filing of a copyrights claim by Iranian band Barobax regarding a song from Saif - Kareena starrer Agent Vinod.
The band alleged that the song 'Pungi Bajaa Ke' was a boost off from considered one of their albums. However, Bollywood Hungama has learnt that the Barobax has now withdrawn their complaint against Pritam, Illuminati Films and Eros International.
Commenting at the withdrawal, the band's spokesperson says, "We decided to withdraw the case filed against Mr. Pritam and others for the copying of a song of Barobax, an Iranian band. After looking into the defenses of Mr. Pritam and the analysis made by various experts, we have now realized that Mr. Pritam is true and there's no copying of our song and so we understood that we can't built an even case. We don't wish to get into any longer legal issue and so we're withdrawing the case as we all know that Mr. Pritam's Lawyer is knowledgeable in Copyright laws and there'll be strong criminal action otherwise made out against us. We sincerely apologise to Mr. Pritam for all such and withdraw all our allegations made by us against him."
