Emraan Hashmi fondly referred to as Bollywood's "Serial Kisser" will now be seen playing a porn filmmaker in Dibakar Banerjee's upcoming film Shanghai.
In the film, Emraan plays the nature of a small town Punjabi boy Jogi Parmar, who's a wheeler-dealer who shoots marriage videos throughout the day and porn films at night.
When we asked Emraan Hashmi about his "promotion" from a serial kisser to a porn filmmaker, he replied cheekily, "Yes, that may be quite a progression. Jogi shoots porn films after 12 within the night. I used to kiss girls within the morning and now I shoot porn films at night."
Surprisingly, Emraan doesn't have any intimate scenes on this film. He says, "Yes, I HAVEN'T GOT any intimate scenes on this film. I'VE done something really different on this film. At a time I WILL do just one thing with my lips, I WILL either chew paan or kiss but on this film I chew paan."
Shanghai is a political thriller and likewise stars Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Farooq Sheikh and Pitobash Tripathy. The film will hit the theatres on June 8, 2012.
