Beti B gets her polio drops in Big B’s presence

Mega star Amitabh Bachchan, who have been related to the federal government polio eradication campaign, has said that his granddaughter was given polio drops Tuesday in his presence.

“Day before yesterday (Tuesday), my little granddaughter was given polio drops in my presence,” Amitabh Bachchan said here Thursday on being felicitated for his contribution to the polio eradication campaign.

The campaign has successfully managed to eradicated polio across India for almost 15 months now.

Bachchan said: “We must make certain that there should be no explanation for polio for a minimum of three consecutive years. We now have just crossed twelve months and there's still far to go.”

He further added: “As a parent, I WILL only ask you, request you and get angry on you to continue this very noble cause.” – IANS
