Actor - singer Suchitra Krishnamoorthy recently slapped a legal notice on HSBC Bank claiming Rs. 5 crore for damages caused because of mismanagement of funds, mental agony, stress and harassment. Apparently, it's learnt that when Suchitra deposited a sum of Rs. 1.4 crore, the bank persuaded her to nominate them as her portfolio managers, promising a 24 percent return on her investments.
Later, in 2007, Suchitra invested another Rs. 2.2 crore bringing the whole investments to Rs. 3.4 crores. However, she claims that the bank have been grossly negligent along with her investments and has even acted against her interests. Further, she claims that, on every occasion she incurred losses, the bank assured her that they might make good at the debts, but had always didn't achieve this. If that wasn't enough, Suchitra also added that her portfolio with the bank has incurred losses as much as Rs. 80 lakhs, which did not occur because of unforeseeable or unpredictable circumstances.
While at the other hand, the HSBC has claimed that they have got received the legal notice, and can reply back shortly.
