Actor Sonu Sood, who essays the role of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim in “Shootout at Wadala”, says doing so was an enormous burden for him.
“We speak about power. I remember watching his images within the stadium during cricket matches. In fact, now that you're playing the similar character, you're feeling a heavy burden to your shoulders as you're playing such the most important role and it’s such a very powerful film. So, I MUST be very right,” Sonu on the red carpet of “Shootout at Wadala”.
To prepare for his role, Sonu visited those bylanes of Mumbai which are known for underworld activities, but he isn't afraid.
“I don’t think it was tough to go into such areas. I remember during my struggling days, I had friends who used to hangout in such places. Even I'VE BEEN to such places. Now that i'm engaged on this character, I'D be more curious to grasp about it and that i hope I AM GETTING some good inputs.”
Sonu may also be seen in “Maximum” through which he plays the role of a tender cop. It's releasing April 13. – IANS
