Vinod Khanna - Randhir Kapoor come together after 38 years

Life has come an entire circle for Vinod Khanna and Randhir Kapoor. 38 years after Prakash Mehra's Haath Ki Safaai, they're coming together again in Prabhu Dheva's Hindi remake of his Tamil hit Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana. The veterans had played long-lost brothers in Haath Ki Safaai.

Strangely they were never cast together again. It was believed that the 2 didn't have a very simple time shooting together for Haath Ki Safaai.

Says Prabhu Dheva, "Since I'M launching Kumar Taurani's son in my film, I WISHED a robust supporting cast. Randhir Kapoor and Vinod Khanna were my natural choices for 2 crucial roles within the film."

Interestingly, both Randhir and Vinod were clear of the camera for a long time. Randhir returned with Housefull this year and Vinod Khanna did Players recently after an extended hiatus.

Says an actress who knows both the veteran actors well, "FOR A VERY LONG TIME both the actors stayed clear of the camera. Vinod and Daboo are tired of trying other things. They're both itching to come again to the camera with as many jobs as possible."
