In Dabangg, their romance started with a dialogue around 'thappad'. However for the film's sequel, Sonakshi Sinha and her 'Chulbul Pandey' have definitely moved on. Since she and Salman are shown as a married couple within the film, there are various romantic elements which were incorporated so that you could make their relationship believable.
"Salman was seeking to woo Sonakshi in Dabangg. Within the sequel there may be some good 'nok-jhonk' between the 2. After all, audience does expect some mischief from Salman. Though he can't break right into a 'Tere Mast Mast Do Nain' or 'Dhinka Chika' since that may look somewhat out of place, he does get romantic in his own way with Sonakshi", informs a senior crew member from the sets of Dabangg 2.
In fact the duo recently shot for a romantic sequence to boot though it was punched with straight faced humour, something that's a trademark of 'Chulbul Pandey'.
"'Rajjo' (the nature played by Sonakshi) isn't as demure and shy as before. She understands her husband's ways and is derived on her own now. She isn't a monotonous housewife either; there's a lot of spunk in her character", the crew member adds.
This also signifies that for the primary time in her career, Sonakshi would really share some romantic moments together with her co-star. In the end she was hardly there in Dabangg while Rowdy Rathore was an out and out action affair where Akshay dominated the proceedings. Moreover her upcoming release Joker is an adventure affair because of this romance can also be roughly ruled out.
"Well, after all her characterization has undergone a metamorphosis in Dabangg 2, she is married after all", smiles Arbaaz Khan who's directing the duo, "Having said that, there's romance in her marriage. Since they're in a brand new time, space and home, enough scenarios has been created to determine their chemistry."
Well, there haven't been many instances up to now where a married leading lady has actually bagged anything greater than a semi-decent part. However, if Sonakshi manages to try this in Dabangg 2 and that too when it's expected to be an out and out Salman show, it might indeed be an achievement no less.
