Anurag Kashyap can have made some members of the audiences queasy together with his film Gangs Of Wasseypur, while the others praised the director for his filmmaking. However, the film which was originally showcased as a five hour affair on the 'Cannes Director's Fortnight' was divided into two parts, in order to not dissuade the audience from watching the film.
However, with Part 2 of the film up for release this week, we learnt that Anurag is prepared to showcase the film in its entirety, which means that Part 1 and Part 2 back to back at select screens. Apparently, both parts of the film may be screened in a marathon run at PVR Juhu, PVR Phoenix (both in Mumbai) and other Mumbai theatres besides.
While Part 1 of GOW spans throughout the time frame of 1940s to 1990s, Part 2 would be the culminating factor that takes the tale forward from the 1990s till 2009.
