Director Nikhil Advani's 3D animation film Delhi Safari and Karan Johar's directorial comeback Student Of The Year are popping out the similar day. While SOTY is releasing on Oct 19, Delhi Safari is scheduled to release at the same day.
Nikhil and Karan had last teamed up in 2003 for the blockbuster Kal Ho Naa Ho.
Asked why Nikhil opted to release his film at the exact same day as that of KJo, he says, "Who desires to clash with Karan? The verdict have been taken by the distributor and producer. The primary week of October is observed as wildlife week. It made sense to release the film during that point because it can assist our campaign."
Delhi Safari is ready five animals from Borivali National Park, who meet the Prime Minister in Delhi with a plea to forestall builders from encroaching on their forests. The film releases on October 19, 2012.
