Nagesh Kukunoor's next titled Laxmi deals with the problem of human trafficking, not surprisingly so.
The director who's known to make issue based and girls centric films, tells the tale of a 13-year-old-girl who was pushed into prostitution and was rescued from it later. It's apparently in response to a real story.
A well-placed source with reference to the director of the much acclaimed films, Iqbal and Dor reveals, "Nagesh has always felt strongly concerning the issue of human trafficking. That is something that has always bothered him. But he was looking forward to a right story to return his way. He felt very moved when he heard in regards to the heart wrenching story of Laxmi and decided to make a film on it. He feels this story must be told to the sector".
The source further divulges, "The film might be shot in Hyderabad which not just happens to be Nagesh's native place but in addition his favourite city. His first film Hyderabad Blues and the sequel was also set within the city of pearls. Nagesh plans to shoot the movie within the red light area of Hyderabad."
"The casting at the film is occurring and the film that is expected to head the ground soon.", informs the source.
