What was being speculated all this while and will have possibly escaped after being tagged as a rumour has actually turned out to be a real. Ever because the making of Barfi! , it was being said that this was almost a silent film with neither Ranbir Kapoor nor Priyanka Chopra having many dialogues to their credit. In truth very recently even Anurag Basu said that Barfi! isn't entirely a silent film. However, this may well be 'almost' with regards to truth, what with insiders revealing that the dubbing of all of the film have been wrapped up in under five days.

"This was presupposed to be a well kept secret and in addition the USP of the film. However, the cat of out of the bag. Barfi! is nearly a silent film and experimental to the core. The mood of the film is such that there are minimal dialogues required within the narrative and it's mainly the background score that plays all through the narrative. Many just about Anurag were surprised when he informed that he's through with the film's dubbing. Typically it takes a slightly very long time - especially for star driven films - to wrap up the dubbing part. However in case of Barfi! , it all was finished under five days", informs our source.

It is understandable though since Ranbir plays a deaf and mute young man within the film while Priyanka could also be enacting the nature of an autistic. Still, one would have expected a minimum of Illeana D'Cruz and other supporting actors to have ample dialogues to their credit in order that all of the silence might be compensated for.

"Well, even Illeana doesn't have too many dialogues. She knew about this from Day One so there is not any the reason is, she would complain even supposing that is her debut Bollywood outing", the source adds.

No wonder, the film was earlier imagined to be titled Silence, only to be changed to Barfi! a couple of months down the road. Now here's hoping that this Barfi! indeed tastes sweet in its rather silent avtar!

Bollywood stars continue to wind up in awkward situation with the airport Customs. The most recent to run into the Customs on the airport was Ameesha Patel and her business partner Kuunal Goomer. The duo, who were recently within the UK location trying to find their production venture, were stopped by the customs post a tip saying they were carrying undisclosed electronic goods and jewellery.

Apparently, the Customs officials asked them to step aside after which they were taken aside for checking. However, being slightly courteous a feminine inspector checked Ameesha's luggage, and were later let off post the actress paid a small duty on her bag.

PVR Pictures files criminal case against Santoshi

Veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi finds himself in a place of bother after PVR Pictures filed a criminal case against him on the subject of a bounced cheque.

The story dates back to just about 4 years ago when Santoshi was to make a movie for PVR and was even paid an advance of Rs. 1.11 crore. However, when the director did not get a hold of a script and other key elements throughout the stipulated time, he was asked to go back the signing amount by PVR. Santoshi issued a cheque of Rs. 50 lakhs to PVR but as luck would have it the cheque bounced.

Despite repeated follow-ups, Santoshi refuses to co-operate and PVR had no choice but to file a criminal case against him. The filmmaker has to now appear in court on September 7.

Zeenat Amans letter to BMC

On behalf of individuals for the moral Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, iconic Bollywood actor Zeenat Aman has fired off a letter to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's Municipal Commissioner, Sitaram Kunte, calling for a complete ban on cruel and threatening horse-drawn carriages inside the city. In her letter to Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte, Aman points out that the lives of both horses and humans are placed in danger by having antiquated horse-drawn carriages operate in the course of heavy city traffic. Numerous injuries and deaths have ended in. 2010, for instance, a 3-year-old child was thrown from a carriage when a horse was startled by a passing car. The kid later died.

Zeenat Aman's letter to Municipal Commissioner

Dear Mr Kunte,

Recently, while a vigil was being held in Mumbai for one beleaguered horse who had died, another horse forced to haul a carriage collapsed. What number of more horses and those must become injured or die before horse carriages are banned in Mumbai?

I am writing so as to add my voice to the campaign by my friends at People for the EthicalTreatment of Animals (PETA) and citizens' group Mumbai for Horses calling for a ban on cruel horse-drawn carriages. Both tourists and locals are saddened and appalled by the plight of those horses. These gentle animals are sometimes malnourished, injured and ill yet are forced to haul carriage loads heavier than their bone-thin bodies can bear.

In addition, horses and cars don't mix. Horses and those have both been injured or even killed in carriage accidents. In May 2010, a speeding vehicle passed a horse carriage, which caused the pony to jump, throwing the motive force and a 3-year-old child. The kid died due to the accident. In November of that very same year, a horse pulling nine riders on a Victoria collapsed at Gateway of India.

Mumbai has such a lot to offer, however the pathetic spectacle of horse abuse is the very first thing that many tourists see, and it taints their impression of our great city.

Please won't you place horse carriages out to pasture by banning them? Please respond to me via PETA India's Sachin Bangera.

Yours sincerely,

Zeenat Aman

Siddharth on Chashme Buddoor and Midnights Children

After a huge effect in Rang De Basanti, Siddharth have been busy together with his South Indian assignments. He's back on Mumbai with a riotous role in David Dhawan's Chashme Buddoor.

"At the instant I'm doing films in four languages Tamil, Telugu, English and Hindi. That's damn exciting for an actor who always complains in regards to the quality of labor offered to him. Mera number aa gaya. I'M in Mumbai when Mumbai wants me. Nothing substantial have been offered to me. Once I am in Mumbai I'M asked about my 6-pack. Every young actor in Bollywood has started looking the similar. That's scary. The one way I AM GETTING work in Mumbai is that if the A-listers in Bollywood turn down films. I USED TO BE the 17th actor approached for Rang De Basanti. I USED TO BE probably the 17,000th option for Midnight's Children. I'M lucky Deepa was in Mumbai long enough to listen to about me," says Siddharth with brutal candour.

Siddharth plays the part that Ravi Bawsani had enacted in Sai Paranjpye's Chashme Buddoor.

"And would you think it, Ravi Baswani and that i went to the similar college! Though he was much too senior for me to grasp him. But Ravi may be very dear to me as an actor. I'm harking back to him. My co-star Divyendu Sharma who's one of the vital brilliant actors I've worked with, may be from the similar college."

Siddharth thinks the 2 versions of Chashme Buddoor are an international apart. "I'd never dare to match David's and Sai Paranjye's Chashme Buddoor. I DID NOT bring to mind Sai's film even once. There is no connection between the 2. It's been an excessively liberating experience for me. In Indian cinema, it's impossible to create a graph for a hero's character since the leading man does everything. The inconsistencies of the Indian film-hero are daunting. But I had great fun with my character in Chashme Buddoor. My friends have seen me having fun. But on screen I've never gone to this level of letting-go. I'M REALLY NOT a director's actor. In India that may be differently of claiming the actor does nothing, just comes at the sets and asks, 'Character ka naam kya hai?' I've my very own elaborate strategy of approaching a task. But with David and Deepa I surrendered completely. It will have otherwise been impossible to do two such contrasting roles simultaneously."

Siddharth says he did Chashme Buddoor for a lark. "David and i've been interact for some time. Though earlier projects didn't materialize we became friends. Luckily for me within six months I started working with Deepa Mehta and David Dhawan. They're the 2 completely contrasting 'D' factors in my life. Both are so ok with the craft. I just needed to go on both the sets and surrender myself to the director. While one was serious business the opposite was fun the entire way."

Ranbir to croon Jumma Chumma

The Ranbir Kapoor - Deepika Padukone starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani have been making headlines for the past few days. Now yet again, the Dharma Productions film has come into the spotlight as reportedly the super-hit track 'Jumma Chumma De De' from Amitabh Bachchan starrer Hum could be recreated within the film.

The original, which was a duet, composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal, and sung by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Sudesh Bhosle featured Big B in conjunction with Kimi Katkar. The trendy day version of this song will feature Ranbir and the actor can also be singing a couple of lines himself within the song. Apparently, the makers wanted naughty, perky rhythms and contours that will suit Ranbir, and hence settled for the vibrant track. Though sources in Dharma refuse to touch upon the track's inclusion, Adarsh Gupta, Business Head, Saregama, has stated that the Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani team has acquired the rights of the chartbuster.

Filmmaker B R Ishara passes away

This month appears to be a month of heavenly departures in Bollywood. First, it was the ever green Rajesh Khanna, and now its director-screenplay writer B.R. Ishara, who passed today morning, as he was affected by tuberculosis and was undergoing treatment at Criti Care Hospital, Mumbai. Readers may recall that he had suffered a tremendous paralytic attack during a Directors' Association meeting last year.

The late Ishara launched Parveen Babi and cricketer Salim Durrani in his film Charitra. Not only that, he's also known to be the person who gave breaks to today's heavyweights like Danny Denzongpa, Reena Roy, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Kiran, Raza Murad… to call a couple of. He's survived by his former actress wife Rehana Sultan.

Amitabh Bachchan, who had worked with him in Ek Nazar, tweeted, "THE WELL-KNOWN writer director BR Ishara gave up the ghost early this morning. Brought in fresh style subject for films. Did "Ek Nazar"'.

Bollywood Hungama prays for the departed man's soul to rest in eternal peace.

Saroj Khan to do cameo in ABCD

What's the average factor between Prabhu Dheva, Bosco and Saroj Khan, despite the fact that all of them are widely recognized choreographers? Well, all of them was roped in to do cameos in Bollywood films.

While Prabu Dheva did it within the 'Tera Hi Jalwa' song in Wanted, Bosco followed it up with 'Auntyji' in Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, the veteran of all of them Saroj Khan will now be seen shaking a leg within the film Any Body Can Dance (ABCD). The film stars Prabhu Dheva and Ganesh Acharya within the lead roles. The film will see the trio doing steps that resemble their real life 'personalities'. In other words, while Prabhu Dheva might be doing his famous street dance moves, Saroj Khan might be doing her trademarked laktas and jhatkas, within the song titled 'Daaru'.

While the film is being directed by Remo D'souza, the song in question was composed by Sachin -Jigar.

Shahrukh, Salman and Aamir come together to save lots of producers

Mumbai-Indian film producers have requested the Bollywood actors to pay for his or her staff using their very own money in place of passing the associated fee onto the producers. Actors like Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have come at the side of relief makers from the expense by easily agreeing to their request. The Film and tv Producers Guild of India decided recently that each one actors must pay their staff from their personal pocket.

Till now, the makers needed to bear the additional bills of an actor’s private staff which includes, make-up man, driver, hair stylist, fitness trainers etc. As per producers, these costs added as much as anything between Rs.15,000 to around Rs.50,000, dependent on how well-known and famous the actor is. It's been said that Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan employee expenses on a daily basis tend to be with reference to Rs 40,000. Mukesh Bhatt told an everyday that spot boys and drivers sometimes demand Rs 20,000 each day.

The recent govt decision to enforce a 12.36 % service tax from the makers also forced them to take this decision. Reportedly, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor have also agreed to this rule and feature signed the papers . Well, Salman, Shahrukh, Aamir we actually appreciate your initiative!
