Shah Rukh Khan detained at The big apple airport

In a scene straight out of his film My Name Is Khan, Shah Rukh Khan was recently detained on the The big apple White Plane Airport for over two hours. The actor had flown to NYC to handle the Yale University students.

Shah Rukh, who was named a Chubb Fellow, some of the Ivy League institution's highest honours, on April 12 for promoting human ideals through art, was accompanied by Neeta Ambani. However, despite the remainder of the passengers being cleared with no hitch, SRK was detained, which ended in the university officials contacting the dep. of Homeland Security and the Immigration and Customs Department at Washington, about his detention.

However, information about why the actor was detained are yet to be confirmed.

Shah Rukh, who reached Yale University 3 hours late, said in his speech "Was detained again for an hour and a half. Each time I THINK like a star, I come to America to feel grounded."

Meanwhile, the U.S. customs and border protection authorities have expressed their "profound" apologies for detaining Shah Rukh Khan at a brand new York airport for over two hours yesterday.

External Affairs Minister SM Krishna, who's in Moscow currently said, "It has become a habit nowadays to first detain after which apologise. This can't continue,"

Indian Ambassador to the US, Nirupama Rao, have been asked to take in the problem with the rustic.

This is the second one time that SRK have been detained in US. In 2009 also, he was stopped on the Newark Airport for questioning.
